Champagne to Provence

This is a twenty day guided holiday for people with self contained motorhomes visiting the wine areas of Eastern France. We will be visiting some of the most famous vineyards of France to attend tastings, and of course you may like to buy!

To start our holiday we will meet at a campsite near Dover where we will have a reception and a welcoming evening meal with a selection of wines.

After the Channel crossing we will travel to the Burgundy for an organised tasting of wines by a wine merchant. From there we will travel to the Macon, stop for two nights at a famous vineyard and be given the chance to taste and buy the wines of the area.

We will then spend three nights in the Cotes-Du-Rhone including staying overnight and touring a family run vineyard where the vigneron will show us around, and a barbeque will be organised.

Next we will go to the beautiful provencal capital of Avignon for a few days to camp opposite the famous bridge. During our stay we will have an organised bus trip to Chateauneuf du Pape where we will be tasting some fabulous wines and having lunch.

We will retrace our steps via the beautiful village of Fleurie in the Beaujolais where we will have a dinner together and a tasting of the wines. The final two wine stops will be at Chablis, and at Epernay we have organised a tour and tasting at a famous champagne house.

Our last night will include a farewell dinner with wine on the sea front at Calais.

The price of the holiday is £845 per person based on two people sharing. The added cost for each additional passenger is £545. This is based on a motorhome being no longer than 6 metres. Charge per metre or part metre over 6 metres is £25.

The start date for this holiday is 29th August 2009.

Please remember our numbers are strictly limited to eight motorhomes per tour so do book early to avoid disappointment.
