Burgundy and Champagne

This is a 15-day guided holiday for people with self-contained motorhomes visiting the wine areas of Eastern France. We will be visiting some of the most famous vineyards of France to attend tastings, and of course you may like to buy!

To start our holiday we will meet at a campsite near Dover where we will have a reception and a welcoming evening meal with a selection of wines.

After the Channel crossing we will travel to Burgundy where, at a famous wine merchant, we shall have a tutored tasting of his wines. Later we will have dinner together. From there we travel to the Mâcon, stop for two nights at a famous vineyard and we will be given the chance to taste and buy their wines.

We spend three nights in the Cote du Rhone including staying overnight and touring a family run vineyard.

We move on to a beautiful village in the Beaujolais where we have the chance to visit the vineyards of the area and taste their wines. We will have dinner with wine in a restaurant close to the campsite.

We will retrace our steps via Chablis and Epernay where we have organised a tour and tasting at a famous Champagne house.

Our last night will include a farewell dinner including wine and aperitif on the seafront at Calais.

The price of the holiday is £645 per person based on two people sharing. The cost for each additional passenger is £445. This is based on a motorhome being no longer than 6 metres. Charge per metre or part of a metre over 6 metres is £25.00.

The start date for this holiday is 30th August 2008.

Please remember our numbers are strictly limited to ten motorhomes per tour so do book early to avoid disappointment.
